Danny Ward has officially left Huddersfield Town after he penned a permanent contract with Rotherham.

The 24-year-old has signed a 2 & a half year deal taking him till 2017 at the New York Stadium.

Ward failed to establish himself at Town under new manager Chris Powell and with his contract up in the summer Huddersfield have decided now is the time to cash in on the former Bolton trainee.

The fee is officially undisclosed but it is thought Town will have banked around £350k for the winger cum striker.

Ward made his debut for Rotherham in last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Brentford after joining on an initial emergency loan.

Ward made 87 starts for Huddersfield and a further 43 appearances from the bench scoring 21 goals during his time in West Yorkshire.
