Chris Powell has not given up hope of keeping Grant Holt at Huddersfield Town but admits that the ball is in Wigan’s court.

The 33-Year-Old Veteran striker was a catalyst for Town when he initially joined on-loan, performances that saw Town seek an extension that ran until the maximum 93 days; which takes Holt up to the 28th December game against Bolton at the Town Ground.

Holt will then return to Wigan, where if selected, his first game could be against Bolton in the FA Cup.

Powell also admits to not yet having spoken to Wigan manager Malky Mackay about the future of the striker personally but that The Terriers were going to be in the market in January with Ross Wilson and staff suitably looking for reinforcements.

However an influx of players was warded against with a more drawn out process throughout the window predicted by the Terriers Chief.

Which gets us asking who would you like to see brought in?

Will Powell go raiding on his old Charlton side?

Perhaps he is scouring the lower leagues, or abroad?

Would some top quality youth from the Premier league be the answer ?
