Skipper Peter Clarke was sent to hospital at half time after suffering concussion in the defeat at Derby.

The skipper suffered the injury in a challenge with Connor Sammon, of his own making, but battled through and completed the first half.

Caretaker manager Mark Lillis took the decision at half time, after consulting with medical staff, to send Peter Clarke to hospital for a precautionary scan.

Clarke was replaced by young Scotland U21 international Murray Wallace, with Anthony Gerrard taking the captains arm-band for the second half.

The Terriers lost the game 3-0

It was also revealed afterwards that James Vaughan was also feeling the effects of the match, after two clashes of heads towards the end of the game with O’Brien, he too was sick after the game and suspected of suffering a semi-concussion.
