Lee Novak’s four-year spell with Huddersfield will end when his contract expires in July.

The striker, who joined The Terriers from Gateshead in 2009 and has scored 42 goals in 172 outings, has failed to agree a new deal with the club so will be leaving on a free.

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens had this to say to the official website: ‘Lee has been tremendous for us over the past four seasons and we are sorry to see him leave.’

Terms on a new contract couldn’t be agreed so the 24-year-old will now be looking for a new club this summer, with Huddersfield searching the market to find a replacement for him also.

He’ll leave with the best wishes of all though I’m sure.
