Since his loan move to Scarborough, Fowler has managed to score 3 goals in 11 games and is expected to make his move permanent later this week.
Town manager Peter Jackson told the club website;
‘It’s not worked out as we expected with Lee. I am sure many people will have fond memories of Lee scoring the winning penalty at the play-off final for us as I do.’
Town’s current abundance of midfield players and no doubt Tom Clarke’s successful conversion from central defence have all contributed to Fowler’s departure from the club.
