Kyle Dempsey has made his move to Fleetwood a permanent one after enjoying a successful loan spell with the club this season.

Many had expected the former Carlisle man to come back into the fold at Huddersfield with the loan move expected to be one to increase the youngsters game time.

That’s proven not to be the case with Fleetwood confirming this afternoon the permanent capture of Dempsey, who described the move as massive for his career.

Dempsey has penned a three year deal which will commence on 1st July after his loan spell from Huddersfield has expired.

The 21 year old won the young player of the year award this season at Fleetwood, where he scored twice in 45 appearances laying on seven assists in a season that ultimately saw them fall at play off semi final stage to Bradford City.

As always the fee looks to be undisclosed but knowing Town there will be sell on percentage and performance based payments should Kyle progress further.

We would like to wish Kyle all the very best for his future, certainly a player that gives his all, sadly this wasn’t to be his home but our loss is certainly Fleetwood’s gain.
