Town midfielder Kyle Dempsey has effectively seen his spell as a Fleetwood player come to an end after defeat to Bradford City over to legs in their play off semi-final.

The former Carlisle midfielder, who was their young player of the year prior to joining Town, also won the award at Fleetwood this season for his impressive energetic displays from the heart of midfield, chipping in with a couple of goals in 37 appearances for the Trawlermen.

The seeming conclusion of his loan spell had many Town fans pondering if Dempsey could be considered for selection, that will not be the case however with the midfielder’s loan deal due to run until the end of the month at Fleetwood.

On the flip side it may also be quite disrespectful to the first team squad at Huddersfield to have even considered his inclusion, after all they have gotten to this position without Demspey.

The lad is clearly talented, you don’t win young player of the year at two clubs without having something about you. For Kyle it’s a summer off to reflect on his experience at Fleetwood and hopefully come back to be a contender for a Huddersfield Town squad place.
