JOE MURPHY will have to remain patient as he continues his comeback trail from a foot injury.

The former Coventry stopper made his League debut for Huddersfield against Sheffield Wednesday on November 22nd; where he picked up the injury

Murphy had 3 separate clashes with Stevie May during the course of the game with the Wednesday striker eventually picking up a yellow card. Murphy finished the match but the extent of the injury was obviously serious enough to force the Irish man to miss the entire month of December and pencil in for a New Year’s return.

Alex Smithies remains the clubs number one, but Town have had to turn to 21-year-old Academy Graduate Lloyd Allinson to provide the match day cover for The Terriers, rather than the experienced Murphy.

Allinson is yet to make a senior debut appearance for the club.

Town could get special dispensation from the Football League to bring in an emergency loan deal if anything untoward happened in the keeper department; however Powell seems happy with things as they are for now.

Allinson will be on the bench for the Boxing Day trip to Rotherham and Sunday’s clash with Bolton at the Town Ground; where Grant Holt will sign off his loan spell, hopefully with a win & a Goal!
