Kasey Palmer has ended his second loan spell with Huddersfield Town 5 months early.
The Chelsea youngster impressed for the Terriers last season but suffered a serious injury which saw Palmer miss the back end of the Championship season, Palmer made a comeback in the play-off final win over Reading.
That was enough to convince The Terriers to re-loan the exciting number 10 for their debut Premier League season but the aggravation of the same injury has restricted Palmer’s appearances.
A fleeting 45 minutes away at Everton followed recently and then the inability to get into the match day squad despite claims on social media, by the player himself, that he was indeed fit for selection.
Clearly, and sadly, something has gone wrong somewhere, injury aside. It’s all a bit sad especially as many pinpoint the number 10 position being the area Huddersfield are most weak, surely Palmer’s departure will see someone else come into the squad in that position, Ben Woodburn maybe ?
