Huddersfield Town’s Kallum Higginbotham was an unused substitute for loan side Barnsley on Saturday as they defeated Town’s play off final opponents from last season.
Higginbotham din’t manage to get on the field for his debut and that was perhaps down to the fact that Barnsley had to play 2/3rds of the match with only ten men, after Nathan Doyle was sent off in the 32nd minute.
Barnsley ran out 1-0 winners in the end.
Higgs will have to wait until next week at Portman Road, Ipswich, to make his Reds debut.

Subs bench there or subs bench here… I know what i’d prefer!
rememeber Terriers, according to Lee Clark, Rangers & Celtic were after Higginbotham and we had to move quickly as his contract was up at end of season so we splash 150k on a player that cant make our team – the whole scenario is a bit Donal McDermott esque!!
Hope he does well, that way we cant loose.
im sure he will do well there – suits the championship more i would imagine.
Doh…!
