James McLean was always going to get a heated reception for his refusal to wear a poppy on his shirt, and it was perhaps no surprise to see him start the match from the bench.

Huddersfield going down to 10 men and with West Brom trailing, Tony Pulis made a triple change with one of those being McLean.

It would be fair to say McLean had an impact on the game in a positive sense for West Brom, forcing Lossl into a quality save with a header but the game was marred by his awful lunge at Tom Ince, despite the Town attacker being offside.

McLean’s sweeping ‘challenge’ lead to a yellow card for the Derry born Irish man and prior to the awful referee Roger East dishing out the card was McLean squaring up to the home Kilner Bank section.

McLean took to social media to moan about the coverage post match on Match of the Day and called out the people who threw bottles at him when he incited the crowd.

Here is the video of the incident

and then what he had to say

He came in for a wave of criticism for his actions on social media.

What do you make of McLean’s actions ?
