Huddersfield to begin

Huddersfield Town decision makers will meet at the Galpharm tomorrow.

More than 25 applications to succeed Andy Ritchie have already been received.

Tomorrow`s meeting will come up with a shortlist, of a few candidates to interview later this week or early next.

The new man who will be given the freedom to bring in a number two, will have to decide (probably after taking advice from Gerry Murphy), on the futures of the 16 players who are out of contract at the end of this season

That list includes Danny Schofield, who has indicated his desire to move on this summer, however Rob Page has publicly stated that he wishes to remain with the terriers when his short term deal runs out.

New names that have come into the frame since last weeks poll was begun on who you want to see succeed Ritchie are Chris Beech (former player and now at Bury), John Gregory (ex Villa and QPR manager), Mike Newell (the former controversial Luton manager), and Stuart Gray (ex Southampton).

Let us know if you want them adding to the poll.
