Huddersfield Town are considering offering a deal to Cristian Lopez, the Spanish trailist.

The 24-year-old from Atletico Baleares had an impressive cameo debut against Real Betis and followed that up with a goal and impressive display against Oldham at Boundary Park.

Mark Robins said of Lopez:-

He performed well and lasted well and showed he has got the capability with a positive performance – and a well-taken goal – but he does need a pre-season because he hasn`t done one; he needs a little bit of work which will take a little bit of time. But he is an interesting player, no doubt about that, and he`s done his chances no harm whatsoever.

“Hopefully we can keep him a little bit longer and then we`ll have a decision to make. If we can do something it will have to revolve around a conversation between myself, Dean Hoyle, Nigel Clibbens and Ross Wilson, and we will also have to talk to Cristian and his agent, but we will see where we go with it.”

It is thought that Lopez will face one more trial match be that in a behind closed doors friendly or the next available development squad match before a final decision is made.
