ADAM HAMMILL is hoping that his future will be confirmed next week, with new Wolves gaffer Dean Saunders set for conversations with Simon Grayson.

The winger, who has been on-loan with Huddersfield, and scored a dramatic late leveller against Birmingham City in his last Huddersfield appearance; is going to be assessed by new Wolves gaffer before any decision is made on the 24-year-olds future.

Hammill has stated that he would love to be back at Huddersfield, but with the departure of Stale Solbaken from Wolves he could well have a future with the Black Country Club.

Hammill does face ferocious competition for his preferred position at Wolves with Bakary Sako, Slawomir Peszko and Anthony Forde all ahead of him in the pecking order under Solbaken.

Sako has been sensational for Wolves but the new manager may want to shake things up.

Hammill made 16 appearances for Huddersfield and scored 2 goals, with only 6 starts in those appearances due to his problems outside of football and the assault on Paramedics in Liverpool.

It is believed a deal had been provisionally agreed with Wolves over Hammill, but the change in manager has altered those plans.

Grayson confirmed ‘Adam is a Wolves player and we don`t yet know the view of Dean Saunders, who has only just come into the job.

“I`m not saying him coming back is out of the question, but we have to see whether Dean wants to give Adam a chance.”

not entirely true, Forde is a youngster and Peszcko even more of an unknown than anyone else in the squad, so only Sako would trump him on the wing, but Sako is versatile and could even play as striker, so if Hammil shows Saunders how good many of us believe him to be, he would go straight into a Wolves starting 11. That said, for some reason he has fallen out of favour on the training field more than once, so perhaps he is getting shunned for his attitude… still a very lively player at the end of the day..

Thanks AdMant, He is class but behind the scenes attitude may be whats caused him to be unable to really settle anywhere to date, that being said would love him back at Town, certainly has talent.
