Huddersfield Town have announced their second loan departure of the day, this time it is striker Jordy Hiwula who departs the Terriers joining League One side Fleetwood Town on loan until 31 May 2018.

Huddersfield announced the news on Twitter and the clubs Official Site

Hiwula of course spent last season out on-loan at Bradford City and it was widely expected that the striker may well be subject to permanent interest from the Bantams but it is Fleetwood who have stepped in to take Howula, in a similar deal that saw them take Kyle Dempsey last season.

Hiwula’s contract with Huddersfield is due to expire this summer, but the club do hold the option of a one year extension to his contract, so it is expected this loan move will be in search of Hiwula securing a permanent deal at Fleetwood like former Terrier Dempsey.

Hiwula’s match action for Huddersfield Town has been limited to the one substitute appearance he made in the 65th minute against Notts County in a Capital One Cup game in 2015/16 – A game in which not only were Town poor but Hiwula looked out of his depth.

Hiwula has since seen loan spells at WIgan, Walsall and Bradford, the latter where he scored 12 times in 49 appearances.

Huddersfield has the option to recall Hiwula during the January Transfer window.
