Head coach David Wagner has indicated that Kasey Palmer remains in his plans for next season as long as Huddersfield Town can do a deal again with parent club Chelsea.

The 20 year old was ruled out of the remainder of this campaign last week after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hamstring problem, but having been hugely impressive in our promotion run this season across his 17 starts and nine substitute appearances (five goals), Wagner told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner that he remained interested in seeing the youngster come back next season one he was fit.

Having sustained the original injury in the game against Leeds United back in early February and knowing what a blow it was to lose him, Wagner explained.

‘He’s a very big talent and is in my head for the next season. But first of all we have to focus on this season and then we can think about the details and plan for the next.’

Wagner went on to say.

‘Kasey has helped to get us where we are now and it is unfortunate he is not able to help us for the rest of the season. Where we are now, at this stage of the season, it’s the most exciting time in 45 years of the club’s history. It makes total sense to focus on the present and not the future.’
