Daniel Carr became the latest Huddersfield youngster to move away from the Johns Smith’s before the transfer window closed, he’s gone out for another loan spell, this time with Dagenham.

Carr had been on loan with Mansfield for the first half of the season but the development striker was limited to just four-appearances, he did manage to get on the scoresheet once though.

He’s back in league 2 with Dagenham where the 20-year-old will see out the season.

First-team football, and ideally regularly, is something that Chris Powell has told the official website that he knows he needs but also knows he can’t give him at the moment so is hopeful that this loan will pay off and work well for all to benefit.

He said: ‘Daniel is at the stage in his career where First Team football is absolutely vital, and given the situation with our squad I can’t guarantee this at the moment.

‘This loan deal suits everyone involved as Daniel has already shown he has ability and potential; this is why I feel this loan to Dagenham and Redbridge is perfect.

‘We are all looking for Daniel to impress on loan and we wish him all the best.’
