Burnley linked with Ollie Norwood

OLIVER NORWOOD has been linked with a move away from Huddersfield Town this summer, but local sources in Huddersfield suggest otherwise.

The 22-year-old ex-Manchester United trainee, who lives in Burnley and only joined Huddersfield last season on a 3 year deal, has been linked with Burnley.

The Examiner reports that there has been no contact from Burnley with regards to a potential move, and with manager Mark Robins keen on retaining his best players it is unlikely that any move will materialize.

Norwood had some patchy form last season, by his own admission, but still mustered 39 appearances. Norwood regained some of his early season form as the season drew to a close and seems settled at Huddersfield.

Norwood spent time away from Man U at Carlisle, Scunthorpe and Coventry City, all on-loan, but when his contract expired he jumped at the chance of having a first team place at Huddersfield Town.

There is nothing to suggest this will change, unless Town want to sell, I think both club and player are happy.

I would guess this is yet another space filling rumour where 1 & 1 = 5!!
