Harry Bunn has secured himself a permanent deal at Huddersfield Town.

The striker, who has been on loan with The Terriers, was today released by Manchester City and has signed a permanent deal with Huddersfield that runs until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been a part of the Development squad at Huddersfield, however manager Mark Robins must see some potential in the striker after handing out the short-term deal.

Robins spoke to the clubs official site

‘We were pleased with what we saw of Harry and he did well in a short space of time.

‘He fitted in well with the group and caught the eye in his performances for the under-21s.

‘Although our first-team supporters didn’t get the chance to see him, the loan period proved to be extremely worthwhile for us.

‘We believe Harry can develop further and we’ll work hard with him on the training ground to aid that development.

‘We will now continue to monitor Harry’s progress here for the rest of the season, it’s a good opportunity for Harry.’

Was Bunn the extra signing that Robins was referring to recently, I doubt it, however he certainly adds to a squad which is now looking top heavy with strikers.

With the promise that James Vaughan won’t be sold, the addition of Nahki Wells to compliment Martin Paterson & Dany Ward who has recently featured as a striker, could well spell an early end to a Huddersfield career for Jon Stead. There is also then the spaniard Cristian Lopez waiting in the wings alongside homegrown talent Jimmy Spencer.

One thing for sure is that Town certainly are building a strong, young & hungry squad.

Keep up the good work Mark Robins!
