Benik Afobe has emerged as a January Transfer target for Huddersfield Town.

The Arsenal youngster, who is now 21, of course spent time on loan with Huddersfield back in 2010/11 during the failed play off final season campaign. Afobe kept Jordan Rhodes out of the team that season playing the lone striker role in Lee Clark’s side. Making 28 appearances and scoring 5 times.

Afobe has since spent unsuccessful loan spells with Bolton, Millwall & Sheffield Wednesday making 37 appearances and scoring just 4 times cumulatively for those 3 clubs between 2012-2014.

The spell at Millwall was cut short by a knee injury that ruled Afobe out for 8 months and after his time at Wednesday at the end of last season, Afobe was just glad to be back playing.

The striker of course joined MK Dons at the start of this season on a season long loan deal from Arsenal and has been banging in the goals, currently sitting on 18; it is his best goalscoring season to date.

This has attracted several clubs to his undoubted potential and Arsenal may just be tempted to cash in on a player who was once linked with Barcelona.

Here are some of the goals he has scored this season from MK Dons official YouTube
