Huddersfield Town have been linked with Barnsley’s Andy Yiadom for several weeks now with nothing failing to materialise other than newspaper column inches.

Now here are some more, after the Barnsley manager confirmed the club had received bids from Huddersfield and Reading for the right-back, he also went on record calling The Terriers reported 750k offer ‘disrespectful’

Now ClubCall are claiming that Yiadom has rejected a new contract offer at Barnsley as the player looks to force through a move to the Premier League new boys, the two sides face each other in a pre-season friendly at Oakwell on 22nd July, with a 4pm kick off.

The right-back only joined Barnsley last summer after having previously been with Hayes and Yeading, Braintree and most notably Barnet.

Yiadom received International recognition for his Tykes performances with Ghana calling up the 25-year old to their Africa Cup Of Nations squad where he earned his first caps as Ghana, known as the Black Stars, finished fourth.

Press reports a fee of £2million would secure Yiadom’s signature, with the player set to provide Huddersfield cover for last seasons stand out performer Tommy Smith.

We watch with interest, should the move materialise Yiadom would be joining as the 10th new face at Huddersfield this summer !!!
