Arfield seals Burnley Contract

Burnley have signed Ex-Huddersfield midfielder Scott Arfield on a two-year contract after a successful trial spell.

The 24-year-old joins on a free transfer after being released in the summer by Huddersfield Town.

The Former Scotland-U-21 International had made 119 appearances, scoring 9 goals, during three years at Huddersfield after signing from Falkirk for a reported 400k

Burnley manager Sean Dyche was happy with the capture and quoted on the Burnley website as saying:-

‘Scott is a player with a good background who came down from Scotland a few years ago and is a really good talent.

‘He joined us in pre-season and valued the chance to work hard here.

‘That has deservedly rewarded him with a contract and we hope he continues to build here and turn into a really valuable player for us.’

Good luck to Scott with his new club, many have commented their surprise that Arfield has landed a contract at another Championship club, however he is fully deserving and I’m sure he will be impressive against us when we meet Burnley in the league!
