Aaron Mooy has said he will simply enjoy the ‘amazing’ moment of gaining promotion to the Premier League with Huddersfield Town before sitting down over the summer to discuss his potential future with Manchester City.

Having come in from the Etihad over the summer, Mooy made 46 starting appearances with an additional five from the bench across the season and he was clearly a stand out player for us even though he only scored four times.

Our Player of the Year for the campaign just wanted to enjoy things for now as he spoke to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner in his own post game press conference.

For now he just wanted the win to settle in and then to enjoy the parade with the fans.

‘It will be amazing. We are going to enjoy it, it doesn’t happen every day. What has happened has surpassed all my dreams.’

The Australian international went on to say.

‘It’s amazing, ridiculous. Everything is rushing through my head. I am so proud.’

That didn’t mean he enjoyed the ‘horrible’ penalty shootout though as it is a flip of the coin in many ways and anything can happen.

‘You have to really try and focus but all the negative things come into your head. You just have to zone out. I have never felt more pressure in one game in my life. I’m not sure I ever will again.’
